Why are prices going up?
Over the past few years, Yupa Studio has grown a lot. What started as a place where I shared my crochet patterns has turned into my full-time job and a community of thousands of crocheters.
To keep Yupa Studio running smoothly and to keep developing new patterns, there are all kinds of costs behind the scenes that keep going up.
I can't absorb it anymore
Material prices from suppliers and wholesalers have gone up several times in recent years. The software and systems needed to keep everything working – like the website, payments, downloads and pattern storage – also get more expensive every year.
For the past few years I've absorbed those rising costs as much as I could, because I think it matters that crochet stays accessible.
But after a few years, I've reached a point where that sadly isn't realistic anymore. That's why prices in the shop will be adjusted soon.
I'm not doing that out of nowhere, of course – I'd rather give you a heads-up so you still have some time to order at the current prices.
What this means for you
The good news is that you can still order at the current prices right now.
So if there's a pattern, kit or certain materials still on your list, this is the perfect moment to grab them before the price increase kicks in.
