They make Yupa Studio happen

Since the start of Yupa Studio I’ve been receiving help from some very sweet and talented people, let me introduce them to you!

Lianne

'Hi! I’m Lianne, and I’ve been crazy about crocheting since the start of 2025. Clothing, accessories or goodies for my camper; my ideas are boundless!

I put those ideas into Yupa Studio: I create content for Instagram and help Paula behind the scenes with various things.

Aside from crocheting, I have many different hobbies that I can also yap about with Paula: we hope to be crocheting on our surf- or skateboards together soon in the north of Spain!

You’ll be seeing a lot of me on Instagram or in the help mailbox. I’m looking forward to meeting you all! :)'

Sanne

'Helloo, my name is Sanne and I absolutely love being creative, just like you probably do :)! I'm mostly knitting, but working together with Paula made me rediscover crochet completely.

For a year I got to be Paula's right hand, or 'partner in crime', and we did some seriously cool things together!

From setting up a membership, to weekly content meetings and some serious social media growth, to even designing a summer collection!! Wow, what an adventure we've had together, Pau. So proud of you xx'

Gernine

'Hi everyone, my name is Gernine and I have almost all the grandma hobbies. Of course crocheting, but also reading, puzzles and many more creative hobbies that are great to do when you have a cat on your lap.

I started crocheting in 2020 due to boredom during Covid, but I got addicted!

Somewhere in 2025, I began following Yupa Studio and now I’m helping to translate the website and patterns into English for the international expansion!

It’s been very fun to work with Paula and especially to help grow Yupa Studio even bigger, because I really love the patterns and the community <3.'

Yvonne

'My name is Yvonne, but almost everyone knows me as Geertje. I’m crazy about crocheting, designing, and making things myself. It’s my happy place - getting away from the chaos in my head and getting lost in something creative. Once I started, I was hooked: crochet feels like mediation to me.

I design things once in a while for Yupa Studio like this very cheery crocheted case for sunglasses - cute and handy! The collaboration with Paula has been truly a party: fun, clear, and mostly very inspiring.'

Brenda

'Hii I’m Brenda! I learned to crochet in 2021 thanks to YouTube and haven’t put down my crochet hook since. From 2022, I started sharing my projects on social media, which became a huge success. Then started writing my own patterns too.

I got to know Paula in 2023. Someone who also loves to talk hours and hours about yarns and crochet hahaha. I really admire her passion and effort!

With our collab we designed the Bella Wrap Top. Very different from designing a pattern alone. A very fun experience! I’m already excited for our collabs in the future <3.'

Elise

'Wow. I’ve just started collaborating with Yupa Studio and it feels like we’ve been working together for years. With how flexible and fun Paula is, it’s definitely an unforgettable collaboration.

Every idea is checked with you before the next step is taken. What you as the designer prioritize for your design, Yupa Studio prioritises it too. And that way you get to the best design together that will make a lot of crocheters happy.”

Elise's designs include the Ibiza Dream Bag and the Watermelon Laptop Cover.'

Juul

'Hi, I’m Julie, started crocheting in 2023 and been crochet-addicted since!

Aside from actually crocheting, I also make content about crochet. I got to know Paula in 2024, her mission to bring crafters together immediately inspired me.

Ever since, I help Paula sometimes by testing new patterns, but also by editing videos or recording voice-overs. From also knowing Paula, I’ve learned how great it is to be able to brainstorm together about something that we are both passionate about!'

Carolien

'Hi! I’m Carolien. My biggest passion is crochet, especially designing modern patterns with geometric elements. I love working with the mosaic crochet technique, because you can create very cool effects.

For Yupa Studio, I designed the blanket for the winter 2024 CAL - it was so fun to do! It was a challenge to combine the different stitches to make a correct design. That meant a lot of puzzling (and unraveling 😉), but once it came out just like how I wanted, it was very worth it.

The best part? How many crocheters actually made it! It was so special to see how everyone worked on the same project at their own pace. The collaboration with Yupa Studio was also great: professional, exciting and fun! A real party!'

Marjolein & Marjolijn

'Hello, we are Marjolein and Marjolijn: sisters-in-laws, friends and proud owners of a botanical crochet atelier in Dordrecht. We love to crochet and design plants and flowers with a botanical element.

Just like our pattern Monstera Plant Coasters, which we designed for Yupa Studio! We’ve been working with Paula since the start of her Yupa Studio.

What started as sharing a stall at the KreaDoe (so much fun!!) grew to a sustainable, sweet, fun and inspiring collaboration.'
